Predicting Translation Students' Cultural Intelligence through Different Types of Creativity

Translators are reputed to work not only within languages but also across cultures. Intercultural interactions can be carried out when the translator is creative enough. The present paper intends determine pivotal types of creativity which predict translators' cultural intelligence in cross-cultural interaction. 103 translation students were chosen participate study through convenient sampling. Kaufman Scale Creativity (2012) and Cultural Intelligence (2007) administered measure participants' intelligence. Results Pearson correlation attested that scale moderately correlated with scale. Multiple regression analysis revealed among different components creativity, scholarly, self, artistic best predictors students' Implications for training courses professional agencies advised introduce idea or hiring translators.
